DIMAND is a Real Estate company that in Greece made a strong investment in Peireo, the main Greek port in Athens, in the Ag Dionisios neighborhood, an old industrial neighborhood since the beginning of the 20th century.

The lot is about 550m2 and there is an old building with 5 more PB that has to be integrated into the new 70-room hotel project.

The idea of the project is inspired by the existing building that is from a time of the 70s with a curtain wall technology with aluminum carpentry. A clearly rationalist and modern image due to the presence of aluminum.

Its volumetrics and correct integration into the environment lead to occupying the other end of the site with a building with the same geometry, but in a more modern but rationalist key to evoke this area’s industrial architecture. The aim was to compose a volumetry that would generate a pedestrian space, setting back the part of the communication body between the two buildings.
